"Experiment" is a scientific test: Many people don't like the idea of experiments on animals. or it denotes a new activity, idea that you try out to see what happens or what effect it has: I've never cooked this dish before so it's an experiment. "Process" is a method of doing or making something, especially in industry: These manufacturing processes are out of date.

a process is a series of events or changes that happen naturally: the ageing process a series of things you do to achieve a particular result: the reorganisation process will take some time. Experiment a scientific test done to find out or prove something : do/perform experiment(on): they did experiments on rats to test the drug. also: a process in which you try to find out if a new idea of method is effective: St.Mary's school is an experiment in bilingual education.
