Pinyin problem!!! What is the appropriate pinyin method for Cantonese?
This is really very problematic, I now understand spoken cantonese fairly well, I can read it fairly well, I can write it with maobi but WP defeats me!!!! Mrei jrou mhat yre yiu mraai chhe qaa (this is nuts) kam yat yau pin koh lai ne (this is also nuts).

What do you need Cantonese pinyin for?
actually Cantonese users do not usually learn pinyin, even for the native ones.
many of us type Chinese words using 倉頡(typing Chinese characters by strokes and shapes) instead of using pinyin(sound of characters)
But still there are many websites for studying Cantonese pinyin
http://arts.cuhk.edu.hk/Lexis/Canton2/
this is made by one of the best university in Hong Kong.

Essentially you are correct Elliot, however I am told that Educational institutes in China amd HK have a preferred style of Romanisation. I was hoping to fast track my search with the question.
