what do these korean proverbs/sayings mean and when are they used?
- 발 등에 불이 떨어졌다
- 벼는 익을 수록 고개를 숙인다
- 백짓장도 맞들면 낫다
- 변덕이 죽 끓는 듯 하다
- 병 주고 약 준다
- 보기에 좋은 떡이 먹이도 좋다
- 복날 개 패듯 하다
- 부잣집 맏며느리감이다
- 부차님 가운데 토막
- 불 난 집에 부채질한다
- 아니 땐 굴뚝에 연기 날까?
- 사공이 많으면 배가 산으로 간다.Sorry if I misspelled anything... I make a lot of mistakes while typing =/

- 발 등에 불이 떨어졌다
literary : the fire on top of the foot..
implied : to be busy by urgent business
- 벼는 익을 수록 고개를 숙인다
literary : rice plant bowdown more when it becomes fully
implied : be modesty when you learn more and more, don't blow your horn.!
- 백짓장도 맞들면 낫다
literary : it's easier to hold togather even if it is just a piece of paper.
implied : i'll give my hand even if you say it's easy for you.

literary : caprice is like boiled rice soup
implied : to be so fickle

literary : give a sick and then give medicine
implied : give a hard time and then help you or do good thing ..

literary : good looking rice cake is also good taste
implied : appearance is important as much as quality
- 복날 개 패듯 하다
literary : hit severely like a dog in hot day in summer
(when people kill the dog in dog day .. they hit the dog until it dead)
implied : hit severerly
- 부잣집 맏며느리감이다
literary : she fits for first dauther-in-law in rich family
implied : she is good worker and manage household well
- 부차님 가운데 토막
lierary : budddha's middle part
implied : a man too saintly to be true
- 불 난 집에 부채질한다
literary : making a wind to fired house
implied : to make more wrath an angry person
- 아니 땐 굴뚝에 연기 날까?
literary : is it posslibe to make a smoke at chimney without burning log?
implied : there must be some reasons for a rumor
- 사공이 많으면 배가 산으로 간다.
literary : too many boatmen take a boat to a mountain(Too many cooks spoil the broth. )
implied : too many leaders make a project worse..
