"発狂する" is OK.
There are several other choices: "狂う(kuru-u)" "おかしくなる(okashi-ku-naru)".
I'm afraid "どうかしてる" does not mean "go mad".
"どうかしてる" states a state of "mad" or "wrong" so that the topic is already went mad.
"どうかする" means "go mad" but little bit unusual.
