"What kind of music are you into" or "What music are you into"? Hi everyone, I know that the correct form is "What kind of music are you into", but is it also possible to omit the "kind of" to let the sentence be shorter and more immediate? Thank you! :)

as to informal speech, yes you can omit the "kind of". well... 'I'm into rock music.' :)

Yes, you can omit "kind of" and the sentence will still be correct. However, most people will usually use the full sentence.
