What does this sentence mean? He is as learned a professor as work in the university. ------------------------ Does it mean that he is the learnedest professor in the university? I do not think so, but it is in a dictionalry.Should the"work" be "works"?

"He is as learned a professor as works in the university". No professor is more learned.

Hi Sunny, the sentence is way off. It likely should read, "He is an experienced professor who works at the univeristy."
