"having an 'out'" usually means having an excuse, or having a reason to not do something.
It would help if the sentence before this were included to help with the context, but it's saying women have an excuse for having a different definition (from whatever defintion is in the previous sentence) of morality or enjoying life. They think the definition of morality or leading an enjoyable life is being devoted to their children.
