Hello, Yu Zhe, I'm not that informed about what's just happened in politics in Italy. All I know is sole that the far-right won there like, one or two weeks ago, if I'm not wrong. I'm Brazilian, and we'll vote on the second round for president here in the next weeks, October, 30th, more accurately. In this election, we have a moderate leftist on one side and a far-right candidate on the other, who happens to be the president in charge now (I won't say his fckn name).
I must say that they've been spreading out fear about several sensitive themes to society, and this kind is the key to their success now and was the same in the previous presidential election. This wasn't enough, even more frightening is the fact that the president himself is all the time telling hundreds of lies, spreading fake news, and supporting a future coup of state among his supporters and the misinformed population. Some people here in my country are so humble that they don't even have an idea about what's the role of the parliament, nor what a senator or deputy is elected for. Also, endangering the whole situation is the fact that the parliament elected the last October, 2nd, has a lot of politicians who support the president and supposedly would do his will of removing the Supreme Court Ministers from their chairs. The Supreme Court kinda seems to be the only one institution here with the real power of keeping democracy on its feet yet. They being defeated is what would finally give him (the fascist in charge) absolute power to break into pieces the constitution and rule my country like a tyrant.
This sensation of uncertainty is in the air all around my country, and I don't know if in a near future I'll have the chance to share this with other people, that's why I'm doing it now.
