Community TutorGerman Word of the Week: Feierabend đ
đ·
One of my favorite German words is Feierabend.
It literally means "the end of the workday," but it means much more than simply leaving the office.
Feierabend is that wonderful feeling when work is finished and it's finally time to relax, spend time with family or friends, enjoy a good meal, take a walk, or simply unwind.
It's a reminder that life isn't only about workingâit's also about enjoying the hours after work.
Example:
"Ich wĂŒnsche dir einen schönen Feierabend!"
âĄïž "Have a relaxing evening after work!"
Is there a word in your language that captures this feeling? đ
