Hi, everyone if I remember well, in US history, the pilgrims had one leader (William Bradford) and the Puritans had another one (John Winthrop). With that in mind, which of these sentences would be weight? “There some major differences between the pilgrims’ and the puritans’ LEADERS were very different” “There some major differences between pilgrims’ and the puritans’ LEADER Should I use the singular or the plural (leader or leaders) here? Thank you!

I think you’d want to use the plural here because there are two “leaders” being referenced. A much better sentence would be “There are major differences between William Bradford and John Winthrop.” Using pronouns eliminates any confusion.
