Hi! “Verduras” comes from the word verde, are certain edible green plants that are grown for human consumption.
And “vegetables” refers to ANY kind of plant, as opposed to animals or rocks.

Both can mean the same thing, but verduras refers more specifically to vegetables while vegetales is more general and may refer to other plants.
