I forgot my textbook today.
I thought I checked before I left home to make sure I didn’t forget anything.
I’ll have to ask my friend to show me.
Alternative Version (B2): ------ I left my textbook at home today. I was sure I’d checked everything before leaving. I guess I’ll have to ask my friend to share theirs with me. ------ Tip: “Left something at home” is more natural than “forgot,” especially when talking about items. “Share theirs with me” avoids repeating “my friend” and sounds smoother.
