the parents = usually used to refer to specific parents or a specific group of parents (e.g. “the parents of my classmates” or “the parents of the children next door”) parents (without the “the”) - refers to everyone in the world who is a parent - like “parent-kind” (e.g. “parents should teach their children respect” or “it’s normal for parents to worry about their children”) Hope that helps 😁
