I didn't see the point in telling you and having you get all worked up about it unnecessarily.
The Spud Lamp was a big hit at the science fair. Jack and I got an A for it. It was the first A Jack got in any class all year long, so he was psyched.
What does "get all worked up" and "psyched" mean here?

"Get all worked up" means to get really frustrated and angry in a way that other people can tell how you feel.
"to be psyched" means to be really happy and excited.
