I want to go to gym, but it rather expensive and takes too much time to get to the nearest. Running and skiing in a cold season help me to stay in a good shape. I believe, ski is a best activity for health. All the muscles act when you are skiing: legs, hands, torso. Everything balanced. Moreover, you do it on the fresh air. You can variate your training tasks from cardio to speed and strength training. If you want to focus on hands, you can go uphill using hands only. The same thing you can do for your legs or torso. In the warm season I use roller skis. It is a kind of skis but with wheels. They are shorter, of cause, and technically looks like rollerblades, and you push yourself with poles. The main problem is to find a road with a good asphalt and without any traffic.
Undoubtedly, running and skiing can't substitute a powerlifting, so I do exercises with weights at home, and also I have some primitive exercise equipment on my backyard.
