What does P.A. in this context mean?
For example, "Judge tossed it. There were also inconsistencies in the witness’ statement. So the “P.A.” thought the case was a loser, dropped the charges."
Thank you

While the most common definition of PA is Personal Assistant , a type of legal support professional who assists and aids an individual or management team working within a law firm or in-house department.
But PA can also stand for a number of different things in law enforcement. Here are a few:
Public Address
Public Administration
Port Authority
Prosecuting attorney
Privacy Act
Public Announcement
PA is also the abbreviation used fort the state of Pennsylvania. Its law enforcement departments may use this abbreviation in their official documents.
(It stands also for “Professional Association,” which is a type of corporation reserved for licensed professional businesses)
So two options seem plausible, either a Personal Assistant or Prosecuting attorney !
Both of them can actually drop charges. I hope i helped !
