This New Year vacation felt like it passed in the blink of an eye. The weather was surprisingly good—so warm that it felt like summer, and I could even wear a T-shirt.
I went to Kaohsiung Port to take photos of the huge Chiikawa floating on the water. After that, I headed to the southernmost part of Taiwan to enjoy some fresh and unbelievably cheap sashimi—20 slices for only 100 NT dollars!
Later, I went up into the mountains in Chiayi to overlook a breathtaking sea of clouds. It was so stunning that I felt like I was in heaven.
My four-day trip down south went smoothly without any accidents. But honestly, I feel like I spent most of the time in the car! I don’t think I’ll have another trip like this in the next three years.

2/4/2025 This New Year's vacation felt like it passed in the blink of an eye (or: 'was over in a jiffy'). The
weather was surprisingly good — so warm that it felt like summer, and I could even
wear just a T-shirt. I went to Kaohsiung Port to take photos of the huge Chiikawa
floating on the water. After that, I headed to the southernmost part of Taiwan
to enjoy some fresh and unbelievably cheap sashimi—20 slices for only 100 NT
dollars! Later, I went up into (alternatively: 'ascended') the mountains in Chiayi to overlook a
breathtaking sea of clouds. It was so stunning that I felt like I was in heaven.
My four-day trip down south went smoothly without any accidents. But honestly, I
feel like I spent most of the time in the car! I don’t think I’ll have another
trip like this in the next/for another three years.
Not really any mistakes so have offered a few alternative suggestions.
