Professional TeacherDear Native English Speakers,
May I ask you something ?
We've an idiom in Turkish, "Senin tuzun kuru." ( Your salt is dry.)
For instance,
When a person is going through difficulties financially or emotionally, the other part is very comfortable and tells, " Come on, what's the big deal? You can handle it, never mind, dude..."
Then, the main person say, "Your salt is dry... Of course, you can talk like this... You don't have any financial problems, your family is rich."
Did I make myself clear ? 😊
Do you have a phrase or idiom for such a situation ?
Thank you 🌺🇹🇷

I like that idiom! Very clever. I don't know that we have a similar idiom, instead we might say something like:
"That's easy for you to say!"
"You don't have to worry because ___."
You're question was very clear, Turkish people just have a better way of phrasing this situation! :-)

Hi there. Great question. I think I’m English we’d just say something like ‘it’s alright for you’ or ‘you’re sitting pretty’
