It was overcast today, but the sky cleared later. This afternoon, I learned about a modern revision of "Cinderella" that I think is even better. Unlike the original, which suggests a prince or fairy godmother will solve everything, this story teaches children a different lesson: we must ultimately rely on ourselves. Fairytales don't come true, magic wands don't exist, and we need to stand tall, using our own wit and determination to overcome problems.
