Why do you want to be a volunteer tutor? For the past several years I have been working as an online English instructor for a non-profit organization. The population we serve is diverse, but the majority of our clients are Spanish speakers. I obtained the CELT-P (Certificate in English Language Teaching – Primary) after several teaching practicums. I have a lot of contact with the students and one of my responsibilities is recruitment. I teach primarily with the help of the Translate application, but as some of the students are illiterate, I also teach with pictures and video. However, I can only teach very basic English online; English is not my native language.
