Today, I made corn milk for my students and my family as I had promised them before. Normally they almost forget what I promise because it is always days before the time I make my promise. I still did it anyway. And everyone of them awed with the taste. It tasted much better maybe because I add more coconut milk, more milk, better corn and keep it deep cold in the fridge. I also like it myself.

Today, I made corn milk for my students and my family, just as I had promised them. Normally, they almost forget my promises because I often make them days in advance. But I still kept my word. Everyone was amazed by the taste. It was much better this time, maybe because I added more coconut milk, more regular milk, better corn, and kept it very cold in the fridge. I also enjoyed it myself.
“as I had promised them before” can be shortened to “just as I had promised them.” “everyone of them awed” should be “everyone was amazed.” “maybe because I add more coconut milk” needs past tense: “maybe because I added more coconut milk.” “keep it deep cold in the fridge” sounds more natural as “kept it very cold in the fridge.” “I also like it myself” should be in the past tense: “I also enjoyed it myself.”
