Today when I gave my students the class, I asked them to recite the translation of a very famous Chinese poem. At first, they thought it too difficult and reluctant to do it. I helped them to understand the poem sentence by sentence and recite sentence by sentence. In the end, most students participated actively and managed to recite the poem, which gave them a feeling of fulfillment. So I think it’s important for the teacher to figure out ways to let the students experience feelings of fulfillment. This in return will encourage them to work harder.

What was the poem? 床前明月光?

Today when I led my students in class, I asked them to recite a translation of a very famous Chinese poem. At first, they found it too difficult and were reluctant to do it. I helped them to understand the poem by reciting one sentence at a time. Gradually, most students engaged and managed to recite the poem. This gave them a feeling of fulfillment. I think it’s important for a teacher to figure out ways to let students experience such fulfillment. This in turn will encourage them to work harder.
"In turn" is better here than "in return". "In turn" has more of a feeling of one thing leading to another.

Today in class with my students, I asked them to recite the translation of a very famous Chinese poem. At first, they thought it (was) too difficult and they were reluctant to do it. I helped them (to) understand the poem sentence by sentence and recite it sentence by sentence. In the end, most students participated actively and managed to recite the poem, which gave them a feeling of fulfillment. (So) I think it’s important for the teacher to figure out ways to let the students experience feelings of fulfillment. This, in return, will encourage them to work harder.
Excellent. Nearly perfect without me touching anything. Also, I agree with you about teaching. :)

Today when I gave class to my students, I asked them to recite the (English?) translation of a very famous Chinese poem. At first, they found it too difficult and were reluctant to do it. I helped them to understand the poem sentence by sentence and to recite it sentence by sentence. In the end, most students participated actively and managed to recite the poem, which gave them a feeling of fulfillment. So I think it’s important for a teacher to figure out a way to let their students experience a feeling of fulfillment. This, in return, will encourage them to work harder.
