Opinion on/about can be used interchangeably for the most part.
I have a strong opinion about/on something
However there is a third variant which is with the preposition "of". It is usually used to indicate how a person feels about something .
For example, I have a high opinion of the city ... Or
What is your opinion of me ?

Hi Michela,
Opinion on/about are similar becuse both of them describes your ideas or beliefs regarding a particular matter or topic.However,phrase opinion about is often used to express when someone doesn’t have an opinion;as in “I don’t have an opinion about this.”
So , choose one of them depend on situations
