My introduction to italki actually began 6 years ago but due to the busyness of life, I stopped using it until the start off the pandemic in late 2020 when I found myself stuck at home and nowhere to go.
Prior to being confined at home, I was taking language lessons in-person from a tutor. However, once covid struck, my in-person lessons had abruptly ended. I now had to find an alternate form of language learning. Enter italki.
I re-familiarized myself with the app and immediately found a suitable replacement online for my in-person lessons. I was pleasantly surprised by the ability to find language partners to practice with and also by the abundant list of tutors to choose from. Thanks to italki, I now have native language partners to practice with 7 days a week.
My language experience on italki is one positive thing that has come out of the negative pandemic situation.
I'm so happy and grateful that italki has given me such a great opportunity to learn other languages.
I look forward to my language learning journey.
Happy 15th Anniversary, italki!! 🥰
