I’ve still been trying to practice the R sound in Bergen accent(the uvular R) and even got a sore throat. But I have some questions about the strength of the sound. I’m wondering whether I should pronounce the “rrr” very clearly and strongly every time. I’ve seen a video talking about R in French and Germany and it said it is strong long sound only when the r is the first letter of a word, and when it’s the last it’s just silent, and when it’s in the middle like “bare” it’s pronounced like a British “er”. Also, maybe I need more practice but I find it quite hard to pronounce a long clear “rrr” in the middle consonant of a word, and also in combinations like “tr” “dr” “br” “pr”😰

I´m sorry, I´m not from Bergen. The dialect in Bergen is just one of several hundred dialects in Norway.
