For formal lessons, I make individual lesson plans for each student and use pdf, real-life materials (menus, etc.) and textbooks.
For informal sessions, I don't make lesson plans. Students prepare a topic and focus on conversation. Informal sessions are aimed at intermediate to advanced students, as a certain level of proficiency is required to manage a somewhat fluid conversation.My teaching material

Mrs. Ogawa was very nice and did a great job teaching me in a clear and easy to understand way. She was very prepared and used multiple different resources, such as whiteboards, flashcards, and textbooks, to teach her lesson. 10/10. definitely recommend

I’m interested in becoming a Japanese–English translator, and this course has been a great way to test the waters while gaining valuable insight into how translators work. The material is definitely challenging, but I’m really enjoying the process and feel that I’m growing with each lesson, thanks to Orrin and Kiyomi Sensei!
