Greetings! I am Teacher Amy, an enthusiastic and dedicated online English instructor with over nine years of experience in the field. Having conducted more than 11,000 classes across multiple platforms, I specialize in fostering young learners' confidence and proficiency in English, with a particular emphasis on phonics and conversational skills. My teaching methodology is informed by my academic credentials—a Master’s degree in child and adolescent counseling—enabling me to cultivate a supportive and encouraging learning atmosphere. Teaching English as a second language has been a dream of mine. My main experience has been in teaching children, but I have a few adult students as well. I feel that my class is lively and interactive. I incorporate many tools to provide a rich learning environment. I tend to match my energy level to that of my students. With timid students, I tend to speak in a gentle tone to help encourage the student to speak. I also work well with lively students by keeping class fun and full of energy. My lessons are curriculum based. I feel that there is a good balance between teaching a lesson and discussing every day life. My goal is to encourage students at all levels to develop conversational skills. I am flexible in working with children to build their confidence in class. I have taught children as young as 2 and adults up to 70! There are times that the current level is challenging. I adjust and support the student as they learn. In addition, if the lessons are too simple I will expand on the material to help the student speak in a natural way. I try to use topics from every day life to help make the connections in seeing, reading, and speaking.My teaching material

I have worked professionally with special needs students including reading instruction. I also have experience in writing methods for essays as well as editing experience.
