I appreciate Jack's spot-on criticism. He is able to make the learning fun with a good joke which is more efficient then any regular explanation. He is an actual professional.

I’m not sure whether he is a highly skilled teacher overall, but he was not the right teacher for me. During the trial lesson, unstable internet and dispersed audio made it hard to follow. Unlike my other lessons with British teachers, where I have no trouble understanding, I could barely grasp what was said—especially as he often looked away from the camera or spoke while covering his mouth. Though I was willing to invest more in speaking practice, the constant pressure made it hard to perform. I just lost confidence during the lesson and just waited for it to end. He said many students take only a trial and don’t return, and I believe the intense atmosphere may be part of the reason. While he may have intended to simulate a strict test environment, it felt excessive to me. I respect his expertise, but the intensity of his style wasn’t right for me. Still, I appreciate that it helped me mentally prepare for the possibility of facing a strict examiner in the real IELTS test.
