About Me

Hi Everyone! My name is Sara and I am born and raised in California! I am currently a nursing student and love to meet new people and enjoy traveling as much as I can. If you have any questions feel free to reach out and message me! (if my availability does not work with you, feel free to message me and I will try to find a time that works for the both of us as my school/work schedule is constantly changing:)

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher, I have experience helping younger kids improve their english so I feel like that will help me with my italki journey. Although I am American, my mom's family comes from Africa so I have been around many different languages and accents my entire life. Because of this, I think that this makes me more patient than most, so I am excited to see how my conversation skills progress as I get more lessons!

My lessons & teaching style

My goal is to not teach English to beginners but rather to conversate with those who already have a good understanding of English, in an effort to help get them to a fluent level. I want to be able to help students practice having a natural flowing conversation with a native english speaker, that way my students can have a good understanding as to what an actual conversation would look like.
