Hello! My name is Leo. I am from the Russian Far East, and Russian is my native language. I've been a student here on Italki for a long time. I speak English, Japanese and Croatian. In my free time I like to study physics and play the guitar.

Me as a Teacher
Т.к. я сам изучаю иностранные языки, я понимаю, что иногда бывает нелегко. Поэтому я знаю, что учитель должен быть терпеливым. Я всегда подстраиваюсь под ученика и даю ему возможность самому выбрать наиболее комфортный стиль обучения.
Since I learn foreign languages myself, I understand that sometimes it can be overwhelming. That’s why I believe that teacher has to be encouraging and patient. I always adapt to the student and give an opportunity to choose the most comfortable learning style.

I am so happy that I am finally making progress! I was stuck for so long, but Leo is extremely patient and knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve had a variety of Russian teachers, in person and online, and I would say without hesitation that Leo is the best. In fact, I myself am a language teacher, and I feel like I learn from him as a professional, too. If you want to improve, you should take his lessons!

I would not hesitate to recommend Leo as a teacher. He is very good at explaining grammar and vocabulary, and at the same time gives you plenty of opportunities to practise speaking and listening in lessons that are clearly well-prepared.
Leo increases my motivation to learn Russian, so I will definitely continue to book lessons with him. I believe he would be very successful teaching Russian at a school or university in an English-speaking country.
