Hi, my name is Tanike Joubert, and I’m from South Africa. I’m fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
With over 5 years of teaching experience and a 180-hour TEFL/TESOL qualification, I am passionate about helping students achieve their English language goals. I’ve also tutored Mathematics and Biology, which has strengthened my adaptability.
I’m pursuing a diploma in Interior Design and enjoy painting, DIY projects, and exploring finance. I love staying active by hiking and exercise and enjoy reading novels and self-improvement books. As a TEFL/TESOL-certified ESL teacher with over 5 years of experience, I’ve taught students of all ages—from children to adults—and at all proficiency levels. I’ve had the privilege of working with learners from Asia, South America, and Europe, which has deepened my respect for diverse cultures.

Other - TESOL/TEFLI completed a 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certification at Dux TEFL, where I learned the fundamentals of teaching English, including lesson planning, classroom management, and language acquisition techniques. I also completed a 60-hour advanced course focusing on effective online teaching methods, which equipped me with strategies to engage students in virtual settings and deliver interactive, personalized lessons

No one is like Tanike..she is always on time, always with a perfect Internet connection (it is something that isn't taken for granted with other tutors) and always with enthusiasm and with many many questions to keep the conversation going.
