Hi! My name is Matilda and I was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. Currently living in Blue Mountains, Australia. I have studied Psychology courses at Lund University. I am interested in developmental and social psychology. I like to discuss psychological questions and and other subjects regarding emotions and the mind. I get energy from travelling, connecting with humans, doing crafty stuff, fermenting food, I am inspired by self sufficiency in many aspects of life.
I'm pulled to help people learning my native tongue. I want to be there with you while you grow and learn Swedish in a fun and interactive way.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in Sweden for children aged 6-15 years old, I did love the feeling of being in the classroom and having contact with students.
I have been teaching online for over one and a half years. I want to get to know you and build a connection whilst we go deeper into the Swedish language. I think that the harder parts of learning a language becomes a lot easier if you have a supporting tutor that will push you through if you have doubts. I love improvisation and free flowing creativity. I hope I can create a space where you feel safe to make mistakes and grow in your language journey.

I aim to make my lessons filled with humour and curiosity. As lesson material I create interactive tasks, quizzes and word games and send through study material that we can practice with. I also send documentaries, music lists and podcasts for my students, ask for recommendations and I would be happy to share. If you want homework, I will also give suitable tasks for you to do outside of lessons.
I am open, flexible and welcome to any inputs. Feel into the difficulties that you face in the language and let me know what I can do to assist you. I am here as a guide and inspiration into your Swedish language journey.

Matilda är duktig på att skapa en rolig stämning i lektionerna. Det känns lätt att prata med henne och processen att lära sig ett nytt språk blir enklare.
Förutom konversationerna rekommenderar Matilda flertals intressanta serier och dokumentärer.
En sak som jag uppskattar är att Matilda skriver upp de flesta orden som jag inte kan i chatten och det blir väldigt lätt att gå genom dem senare.
