Hello students, My name is teacher Macnolia and I am from Johannesburg South Africa. I am a qualified microbiologist and I have been teaching english online for over a year.
I an avid fan of movies, music and books and I am well versed in various scientific topics. I love learning about different cultures and countries. I particularly enjoy learning about foods from different cultures. My favourite foods are burgers and fries. My favourite traditional South african food is amaDombolo ( which is steamed bread) served with beef stew and vegetables.
I believe in creating a calm, positive and relaxed environment for students to learn in. My lessons are student centered, which means I encourage my students to talk for the majority of the lesson. I guide the conversation with comments, questions and affirming reaction.
I challenge my students based on their skill level and I am always looking for ways to help them improve. I inspire them to never give up on their language learning skills, even if it gets tough, I will be there to guide them every step of the way.
