About Me

Hello! My name is Sharifa and I am a native English speaker. I was born and raised in Grenada. I went to college in the United States and obtained my master's degree in the Netherlands. Currently I am living and working in the U.S. I really love traveling and I have been to amazing countries like South Africa, Spain, and China. I am very excited to meet you wherever you are in the world! Some other things I enjoy doing are: dancing, reading fiction, and watching psychological thriller films. I can't wait to learn about you!

When learning a language I believe that it is important to have a friendly supporter: someone who can encourage you when you feel stuck and inspire you to keep trying, keep talking, and keep making progress. I am patient and flexible. I always tailor my style to each person's unique needs, interests, and level.

When you book a class with me you can expect 3 things: 1. A stress-free environment to make mistakes and build your confidence 2. Visual prompts, short readings, discussion activities, and other materials for us to talk about and learn new vocabulary in fun and creative ways. 3. I will always be mindful of what you need. What do you want to talk about? Do you need me to slow down? Just let me know and I will! I look forward to speaking with you soon and helping you improve your English communication skills!
