David

With over 15 lessons with David, here is my synapses of my experience thus far. Ever since I began taking lessons with David, I have seen massive improvements in many aspects of my german language skills. Through his relaxed nature, and laid back and easy going attitude, every lesson so far has been beyond satisfactory and one of my favorite tutors I’ve had on italki. He provides a very simplistic and easy to understand template, on which he writes all the vocabulary and mistakes that occur during the lesson, which is a clear sign that he goes the extra mile how he conducts our lessons. It’s extremely helpful to look at after and see all the things we went over in a streamlined document. His personality matches with what I need from a language partner. Relaxed, informative, super easy going and that makes it even easier to speak comfortably. He always points put errors, which for anyone who wants to immerse yourself and learn German fluently is very important. I’d highly recommend!

David is exactly the kind of teacher I was hoping to find on italki! He is extremely patient and friendly, and he puts a lot of effort into making new concepts very clear and easy to understand which I really appreciate as a beginner. The presentations and materials are super helpful, and I like that he shares progress notes after each class so I can review what we covered. Learning a brand new language can be intimidating but David is very encouraging and I always feel motivated to learn more after our lessons.

I have now had more than 15 lessons with David, who continues to be a friendly, engaging and motivating teacher. What I find particularly helpful about our classes is that David always tries to understand what I mean in German, even when I cannot express myself properly, and suggests better, more natural ways of expression. In addition to sending the vocabulary we use in the chat during our classes, he provides an overview of the vocabulary/expressions learned after each class, which is extremely useful for self-study.

I cannot give David enough praise; my German lessons with him are very enjoyable. He keeps the lessons going with a nice rhythm that is not too fast. He is the perfect balance of patient and encouraging, allowing you to think of how you want to express yourself and not thinking about making mistakes and just speaking to David. He takes the lessons seriously, but the vibe is relaxed and it's easy to laugh with him. But it's even easier to learn with him.

After 20 lessons with David, we have reviewed the six tenses, various grammar rules, and more complex sentence structures. I have continued to notice many improvements in my German. David’s friendly and positive attitude makes each lesson engaging and practicing German a lot of fun. He is a fantastic and supportive teacher.
