Hi there, my name is Anna. I was born & raised in Japan, but I moved to the UK when I was a teen. A piece of my heart also belongs to Italy as I've learnt Italian when I was a bachelor student in London & also spent a year in Siena (Italy). As a multilingual, I am passionate about meeting new people, learning new things & exploring new places. Currently I am working in Amsterdam as a lecturer in Cultural Anthropology. I love fun & creative lessons both as a teacher and a student. I have taught students of various age groups and from many different backgrounds.

My lessons are particularly for those who just began learning Japanese/are interested in Japanese cultures in general, and for those who are Japanese native & would like to improve their English. You are welcome to speak/explain yourself in English if you struggle to hold a conversation in Japanese.

My lessons normally follows a conversation style - this way, you get to know me & I get to know you. Learning a language should not be dull & boring. I am also open to have slides especially in the field of sustainability living, anthropology or any topic of your interest. I will prepare some fun exercises that we can practice new words and phrases. Anna is an amazing teacher, her english is better than mine haha. I would strongly reccomend her class as she can explain grammar points in english while conversing in japanese.

Great first lesson with Anna. She's patient, enthusiastic and has a great sense of humour👍
Being native in both English and Japanese really gives her a leg up as a teacher, as she can explain those intricate nuances with easy.
