Sokneang

Sokneang is very patient and provides you a lot of materials for you to study before lessons so you can review! I really like the format of her lessons, she makes sure that you practice speaking and listening, and constantly quizzes you so that you practice active recall of the language. I’m Cambodian-American and didn’t really know much Khmer, but Sokneang is super kind to me and enthusiastic to help me learn and study the language. I’m having so much fun learning with her, so I highly recommend her!! I feel comfortable being able to practice pronunciation and repeat myself when I struggle and she always introduces me to new words and phrases during the lessons so that I understand more as I learn.

I recently started learning Khmer with Sokneang. Her teaching is very good and I learned a lot already in only a few lessons. She gives me a preview of the lesson in Quizlet, and we review when the lesson starts. She includes audio on the flashcards, which is very helpful. I enjoy her class and look forward to continue learning with Sokneang!

Great lesson with Sokneang! We started with a review of the consonants that we already learned. I did pretty well, but made some mistakes. I also didn't really know the sub-consonant "legs", which Sokneang explained that I will have to know them. We also went through the materials that Sokneang prepared about food, which was really fun. I feel like I've come a long way in a short time thanks to Sokneang's teaching!

Sokneang is a very good teacher who explains Khmer well and is supportive and helpful. She pitches the class to my ability and she replied to messages to help me practice outside of the classroom. If you want to learn Khmer, I would recommend Sokneang :)

Great lesson with Sokneang! Sokneang had a fun game ready for reviewing vocabulary. Sokneang also prepared a dialog "at the restaurant" which we used for a role-play. We also did a dictation test, where I drew the consonant that Sokneang called out. Sokneang is always well-prepared. I am really learning a lot with her!

Great lesson with Sokneang! We learned six more consonants from the "er" group, and practiced drawing them on the whiteboard. We also learned about months of the year. Sokneang prepared a multiple-choice game that was a fun activity. After that, we learned different vocabulary related to food. Sokneang sent me flashcards to preview before the lesson, which was very helpful. Sokneang's lessons are fun and effective, I really enjoy them!
