About Me

I was born in Chiba Prefecture and currently live in Tokyo. I studied psychology at Meiji University and pursued Japanese language education during my study abroad at a university in Thailand. Currently, I work as an announcer while also teaching Japanese. I graduated from a specialized school for announcers, enabling me to teach highly accurate Japanese.
In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog along the beach, playing Pokémon games, going to karaoke, and reading books. I have diverse interests including psychology, philosophy, economics, linguistics, geology, quantum mechanics, and informatics. Due to my wide-ranging curiosity, I am capable of engaging in various discussion.Me as a Teacher
I value both teaching correct Japanese and empathizing with the feelings of my students. Especially when learning a foreign language from a teacher for the first time, I understand that it can be nerve-wracking, so I make an effort to create an environment where students can relax and speak comfortably. Many students have mentioned that they did not feel tense during my lessons. I aim to build a relationship where we can discuss anything with ease.My lessons & teaching style
私は日本語の「発音（pronunciation）」「アクセント（accent）」「イントネーション（intonation）」などを中心に教えています。
（もちろん文法も教えられます。また、気軽にフリートークもOKです。）
私のレッスンは、生徒の要望と目標に合わせて計画していきます。
仕事、留学、日常生活など、それぞれの目的に合わせてレッスン内容を変えます。
授業スタイルは、現在のレベルと目指したい目標に合わせて決めていきます。
もちろん初級レベルもOKです。初級の方は簡単なテキストを使って日本語の発音に慣れていきましょう。
体験レッスン（trial lesson）であなた自身の目標と現在のレベルを教えてください。そこで一緒に対話を大切にしながら授業スタイルを考えていきましょう。

今日はアクセントの付け方、鼻濁音、無声化、長音などについて勉強しました。Emiri先生は、細かいところまでバッチリ聞き取れて、調音のやり方を詳しく説明してくださいました。微妙に変えることで、音の違いを作り出せたのは、本当に面白い体験でした。こういう練習で、日本語のリスニング力も上達できると思います。ありがとうございました。

今日のレッスンありがとうございました。今回は復習して、あいうえおの言葉のアクセントと無声化、複合語のアクセント練習しました。
私のアクセントや発音の違い分かることはすごいと思います。次回のレッスンを楽しみにしています。The lesson with Emiri are really helpful for learning how to correctly pronounce words and for learning the pitch accent - looking really forward to the next lessons:)

I learned a lot about the hiragana pronunciations during this first lesson. Emiri先生 was very good at explaining how to position the tongue and shape the lips to form the proper sounds. It was useful to know what I had been doing wrong, and what the letters should sound like instead. I look forward to improving my Japanese pronunciation through more lessons with her.

Had a great first lesson with Emiri-sensei! She is very bubbly and easy to talk to. I've been studying Japanese for a while and there were a lot things about Japanese pronunciation and pitch accent I didn't know that Emiri-sensei helped me with in just the first lesson. I'm excited for future lessons with her!
