わたしのなまえは美桜（みお）です。
Konnichiwa,
my name is Mio.
I'm from Yokohama, Japan, so I speak standard Japanese. I can help you practice clear Japanese.
I like learning foreign languages and cultures. I learned Chinese and French when I was in high school, and I learned German when I was a college student, and I'm learning Spanish now.
I'm happy to meet people from many countries by studying foreign languages.
私は日本の横浜（よこはま）出身（しゅっしん）で標準語（ひょうじゅんご/standard Japanese）を話します。
そのため、きれいな日本語（にほんご）を話す練習（れんしゅう）のお手伝いができます。
私は外国（がいこく）の文化（ぶんか）や言語（げんご）を学ぶことが好きで、高校時代（こうこうじだい）にはフランス語と中国語、大学時代（だいがくじだい）にはドイツ語、そして現在（げんざい）はスペイン語を勉強しています。
外国語を学ぶことで様々な国の人々と出会えることが嬉しいです。Me as a Teacher
I like teaching Japanese language and culture. When I was a university student, I did volunteer work to teach Japanese to foreign students for four years.
After that, I worked for a Japanese company and also taught language to Vietnamese, Nepalese, and Chinese staffs.
Currently, I'm an online Japanese teacher, and I teach Japanese to students aged 6 to 56.
大学時代（だいがくじだい）に4年間、外国人留学生（がいこくじんりゅうがくせい）の日本語学習（がくしゅう）をサポートするボランティアをしていました。
卒業後（そつぎょうご）は日本企業（きぎょう）に勤め、外国人（がいこくじん）スタッフに日本語を教える仕事（しごと）をしています。
現在（げんざい）はオンラインにて日本語の先生をしており、6歳から56歳までの幅広（はばひろ）い年齢層（ねんれいそう）の生徒さんに日本語を教えています。My lessons & teaching style
I'll give lessons according to your Japanese level and learning goals.
For beginners, I'll teach hiragana, katakana, kanji and grammar using textbook.
I can also practice interviews and business conversations for advancedusers.
Learning languages is fun, but very difficult.
Let's relax and enjoy in my lessons !

みなさんの日本語レベルや学習目標（がくしゅうもくひょう）に応（おう）じたレッスンをします。
初心者（しょしんしゃ/beginners)にはひらがな(hiragana)、カタカナ(katakana)、漢字(kanji)の練習（れんしゅう）や、テキストを用いた文法（ぶんぽう）学習、上級者（じょうきゅうしゃ）には面接（めんせつ）練習（れんしゅう）やビジネス会話（かいわ）の練習もできます。
外国語（がいこくご）を学ぶのは楽しいですが、その分とても大変（たいへん）です。

This was my third trial lesson and my favorite. The teacher was very good at keeping our conversation flowing which is difficult since I am a beginner. She was kind and patient and prepared with questions. I will book her again.

Mio先生 is very friendly and helpful! Although I’m a beginner, and there’s a lot of words that I don’t know how to say in Japanese, Mio先生 was super patient and understanding! Also, she speaks very clearly! Thank you for the lesson!
