Hello! My name is Thai, and I am a Canadian-born Vietnamese, currently living in Canada. I am a TEFL-certified English teacher. I also have 2 degrees – a Bachelor’s of Science and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. I am also a registered nurse. I am fluent in English, and also speak Vietnamese at an intermediate level. So, if you speak Vietnamese and want to learn English, I can help you with that! Although my four years of working in the medical field may not immediately seem relevant, many of the skills and strategies I have developed over the years are critical in assisting me in teaching English. These include assessing one's knowledge and skills, planning and engaging students with appropriate lessons, allowing students to practice, apply, produce, and present their skills, and evaluating their progress so as to further promote learning and growth. I have also successfully passed a 150 Hour TEFL Course and received a certificate. I can teach you how to read, write, listen, and speak in English. I can help you build upon your knowledge and skills in pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and critical analysis. My lessons will be individualized to your learning goals and needs, and I can teach you how to speak in day-to-day conversations, important situations, and any topics that you might be interested in or is relevant to your life.
