Hi, I'm Clayton. I am 25 years old, and I live in South Africa. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Art and a Honours Degree in 2D Experimental animation. I am a General Manager for an art studio. I love keeping active, and I normally start my day off with a run. On weekends, I enjoy being in nature, and I often go cycling through the African bush. I tutor on Italki because I enjoy engaging with people and learning about their part of the world and their everyday lives. I grew up in rural Africa, so communicating with people who can't speak English is normal to me. I can speak two other languages (Afrikaans and Isizulu). I am patient and well mannered, I am able to connect with a student on the level in which they require. I enjoy having fun with my students and having a good laugh with them, as I feel that we have to have an enjoyable experience while we learn together. The most important aspect in my class is for the student to feel comfortable. When it comes to my teaching approach, I tailor it to my students needs, as I feel that everyone is different, therefore we all learn in different ways.My lessons & teaching style
I believe that having a conversation with someone is the best way to improve language skills. By this, the student can practice with me, the native speaker, and obtain first hand experience in the way in which you pronounce words and the usage of these words in sentences. One can expect to have interesting conversations, about a variety of topics, in which the engagement of the student is essential, so it is important to speak about things the student is passionate about. I find, in this way, it allows the student to relax and be more comfortable and confident in their speaking.5.0

Clayton is quite polite and broad-minded.If looking for a language partner, he is a pretty good one. He can share any to you.I like this lesson.Even this is my first lesson with him but we can talk in a simple way. Chilled and interactive.
His accent is originally British. Very hard for me but worth learning that accent. Look forward to see in next class.
