Fongbe isn't the easiest language to learn. There aren't many resources, very few teachers online, and even fewer who speak English well. Because of this, people who are interested in Benin and its culture are often encouraged to just learn French instead. With that said, I'm very happy to have found Aaron who can teach fongbe in a methodical way, in both French and English. He is a teacher who clearly has a lot of experience teaching languages and recognizes the dynamic nature of fongbe. He has been able to explain grammar and pronunciation in an easy to understand way, and I really do feel like I'm learning a lot with him!
Fongbe is very different from any European language and I'm grateful that I have found a teacher who can make it feel intuitive!
