Hello, hello! * If I'm not available at a time you want, please send me a message; I may be at my desk and able to meet you. - I’m Maryam from Ohio, and I'm really bad at looking at the camera instead of your face on my screen 😅 - I studied comparative literature and focused on Russian literature. Now, I am studying for another degree in Islamic studies, which I am very passionate about. - Beyond studying and teaching languages, I love learning about cultures and history. One of my favorite hobbies is cooking and baking. I also enjoy running and calisthenics. - I have two big cats - My cats have two goldfish

I enjoy getting to know my students and having interesting conversations. If you are afraid of speaking to a native English speaker, don’t worry! I am very patient, and I have a lot of experience in speaking with people from all over the world with various English levels.

My lessons & teaching style

The conversation class is where you can actively practice and develop your language skills through conversation. The reading class is where you can passively learn and develop your language through reading, but also practice a little conversation when we discuss the book together. We can read any book or article you like. The document editing class is where you can bring any material you would like to review, and we can discuss and edit your writing style together. After every class, I will share a customized vocab list, areas you should focus on, any tips or advice I have, and a homework assignment if you have time to do it.
