Hello! Please read my profile thoroughly before booking a lesson!
I'm Laura, I'm 39 and I live in Yorkshire in the north of England where I work as a professional photographer and as a marker of English functional skills mock exams. I'm currently learning Spanish so I know what it's like to be a student just like you! I'm a native English speaker with a neutral northern English accent.
I have a degree in both Media & Psychology and a 120 hour TEFL certificate.

I'm very easy to talk to with a casual teaching style! It's so important to feel at ease with your tutor and to enjoy lessons. The more you enjoy them, the more you learn. As a Spanish student myself I understand that talking with a native speaker is so beneficial!
I understand that life happens, so please don't worry if you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson!
Remember that I teach in and speak British English rather than American English.
My lessons are aimed at *learners aged 18 and over*
I do *not* offer children's lessons, business English, interview or IELTS prep.

Lessons are tailored to your needs and your level of English :)
Simple conversational sessions are my favourite! It's such a great way to learn and practise, and often much more interesting. I love teaching British idioms and slang in every day conversation but I can also help you with grammar, pronunciation and corrections. I will note down helpful corrections as we talk, I will review them with you at the end of the lesson and then send my notes to you for you to keep.
