For the conversational classes in Spanish or Portuguese I'll use content on current events and topics, like videos, news or podcasts, to talk about different subjects. In the basic level classes of Portuguese, I'll use a text book to learn from scratch.

I've been taking Portuguese conversation classes with Alba for a few months, and it's always a pleasure. I don't have any option to practice Portuguese in my daily life, so our chats are a great addition to more traditional, grammar-focused classes I take. She is very open minded and asks interesting questions that push me to use the language in a natural way, without any pressure.
