I've been taking Arabic lessons with AbdelRahman for a couple of months now, and I couldn’t be happier. He’s always well-prepared and structures the classes in a way that makes things easy to follow and build on. He’s very patient, and you can tell he really cares about helping you learn. He also explains things clearly and takes the time to make sure everything makes sense before moving on. I’ve made steady progress since starting with him, and his support has made a big difference. Highly recommend if you're looking for a thoughtful and reliable teacher!

AbdelRahman is by far the most effective Arabic teacher I’ve ever had. I am resuming lessons after a prolonged (years) break, & am also preparing to take the ILR test for the foreign service. He came up with a whole ten class lesson plan to jump start the process. It was a little bit difficult for me to figure out how far back I’d need to go but he quickly assessed my level & has done an excellent job at meeting me there. I am very quickly regaining confidence. My speech production is what I have the most difficulty with but he is patient, gives corrections on the spot, & so easily identifies areas of difficulty. He also speaks beyond fluent English which is extremely helpful to translate nuances between the two languages. In short, after three weeks I’ve gone from not remembering how to describe what I ate for breakfast to being able to give basic presentations about women’s rights & international relations. I plan to work with him for the long run. Look no further & set up a lesson!

I have completed more than 20 lessons with AbdelRahman and can fully recommend him as a great professional teacher. The lessons are well structured, adapted to my needs, and flow very quickly and naturally. He is very engaging and encouraging while also able to explain the key grammar points in a systematic and clear way. Highly recommend for anyone, who is serious about learning Arabic.

It's hard to put into words how incredible of a teacher AbdelRahman Hashem is. First off, his passion for teaching Arabic language and culture is evident from the start. Deep diving into etymology that enriches our lessons is one of my favorite parts of our sessions. He weaves language and culture together in a way that helps cement learning on my end. I was looking for a more structured way to learn Arabic and was struggling with learning MSA vs Levantine dialect. Fortunately, AbdelRahman blends these together in a way that I can learn them simultaneously. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and passion inspire me to do my best, but more importantly, gives me the confidence I that I can one day speak and write Arabic fluently.

AbdelRahman is an incredible teacher and I can't recommend him enough! From the first lesson, he determined what I was looking to learn and set goals and lesson plans accordingly. I am a medical student, and my schedule can be unpredictable, but he's incredibly flexible and always adapts the lessons to my needs. When I have more time, he plans structured lessons and provides homework ahead of time, and at the same time, when my schedule gets tight, he’s quick to adjust and switch to more conversational classes that still keep me engaged and builds my vocabulary without the added pressure. His ability to fine-tune each class to match what I need at the time has made learning Arabic not only manageable but genuinely enjoyable. He is especially willing and able to focus on medical terminology and has extensive knowledge on relevant medical topics in both MSA and dialectal arabic! I have learned so much from our lessons and highly recommend to anyone looking to build their arabic skills!

AbdelRahman Hashem has done an amazing job helping me keep up my Arabic during a long summer break. He is incredibly patient during lessons and makes every session fun! I highly recommend taking classes with him.
