Hello, my name is Donovin. I come from South Africa and live in the vibrant city of Bloemfontein. I am an energetic well mannered outspoken gentleman. I am passionate about my art and the level I have achieved through hard work and perseverance. I am very adaptive and value honesty. I am well organized and a diligent worker. My wife and I have been together for 13 blessed years. I enjoy spending time outdoors with her at the stables and visiting the horses. My favourite sport is soccer, and I like to play it rather than watching it. I am close with my family and appreciate each day I spend with them, we enjoy having a good barbeque.Me as a Teacher
I have years of self-study experience in art, so I can understand how frustrating learning a subject can be. The experience I gained from this has taught me how to be patient, and learning anything takes time and a lot of practice. We will build a greater understanding of English through conversational practice and a deeper vocabulary. I feel interruptions will only break confidence, so I believe in self-correction and guiding those learning rather than dictating the path. For shy students, I will always have material prepared to help them boost their confidence and create less stress. I cannot wait to meet you, so book right now.My lessons & teaching style
As a teacher here in Italki, I provide my students with plans to select from;
1. Informal lessons focusing on conversational English wherein we can discuss anything you want to. If you are shy, I will always have a range of topics ready for us to talk about, which will improve your confidence and fluency in English. We can also read some articles and view selected videos to help improve comprehension skills. Homework is always optional.
2. Semi-Formal lessons centred on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. I will create lesson plans for you based on your level of English. We can work on essays and comprehension tasks. Business English-based lessons are also available.My teaching material

Sales ClerkA fly fishing and branded clothing store, Senqu was my first job after graduating from school; needless to say, I gained many skills, learning that though a store looks basic and uninvolved from the outside, it takes many careful steps to maintain.

Sales Clerk and Stock ManagerJeep was a whole new ball game, I learned the value of a commission-based sales structure and the role it played in employee motivation and development. At Jeep, I also learned to work on new stock managing applications as well.

SalesMetropolitan played a vital role in my job past job career. Here I was subjected to the full extent of the insurance industry. I learned the value of product knowledge, being able to answer client questions professionally.
2011 - 2021
Sculptor, Painter and salesI have been self-studying art for over a decade now, and this has been my primary career. I am a sculptor that loves the challenge I face every time I start a new project. I create original sculptures as well as fan art pieces.

Donovin is a great teacher by all means. One of the best on italki from my perspective. I tried to study English with different teachers here. The lessons with Donovin are always relaxed and good sctructured, you will not just talk with each other without any meaning and any plan. Donovin always takes useful notes about your mistakes and never interrupts you in the process. He also is a great person and can keep the conversation going on any themes.
