Community tutor available for adult or teen conversation practice My name is Michelle. I am originally from Vancouver but have lived in 3 different Canadian provinces. I studied business at university, but have always enjoyed language learning. My hobbies include scrapbooking, other crafts, swimming, reading and enjoying nature. I love to travel and learn about different cultures and different people. As a teacher, I am kind, patient and supportive. I strive to make learning fun. Learning a new language is all about taking risks and allowing yourself to make mistakes, so I provide a judgement-free environment in which to do that. I help my students grow their confidence as they improve their English fluency. As a community tutor, I don’t have a pre-planned curriculum. I will work with each student to come up with activities and topics of discussion that are of interest to the student and at an appropriate level.
