My name is Fumi. I am a certified teacher of Japanese as a foreign language and having 6 years of experience.
When I have time, I play guitar or sometimes spend time in nature.
I'm an easy-going person and love to do try something new.

I started my career of a Japanese language teacher as a community tutor in NPO when I was a graduate student. And now I have more than six years of experience as a professional Japanese teacher. I have taught student from different countries and students of various ages.
I have plenty experience in oral communication lessons. I always try to make my lessons fun and interesting so that students can feel free and more motivated to talk.My lessons & teaching style
I prefer to student-centered and communicative approach in my lessons. And my role is to help you studying Japanese. Your own motive and goal are the key of my lesson. So please make sure that consider what you want to study before come to my class.
While my lesson, I will give you plenty chances of spontaneous talk and you will get used to new words and grammars through those talk. I am sure that you will be able to feel more confident and fun in speaking Japanese in our lesson.
In my lessons I basically speak only in Japanese as I believe that you can do it and it will help you much.

Fumi-sensei was very patient with me, even though I lack a lot of vocabulary and have trouble with grammar. He explained things in English when it was obvious that I didn't understand what he said in Japanese, and corrected my mistakes calmly and politely.
I highly recommend taking classes with Fumi-sensei, and I will be taking more classes in the future.

Fumi-sensei is very calm, friendly and professional. In 30 minutes conversation I got the opportunity to practice my speaking naturally, he kept the conversation going well, provided corrections, and gave helpful feedback at the end regarding points to improve on. Very pleasant experience, I would highly recommend Fumi-sensei if you want to practice conversation.
