Hello! I am Yurie, a Japanese teacher living in Paris. I am from Osaka and I have the national license of museum curator in Japan and I studied Cultural Management in France.
I also work as a tour attendant in Paris and volunteer in museums, guiding people with visual impairments.
In my lessons, we use art, free conversation, and simple dialogue activities. I want students to speak Japanese naturally and enjoy expressing their own ideas.
こんにちは！パリ在住の日本語講師、ゆりえです。大阪出身で、日本の国家資格である「学芸員」を持っています。日本で美術史を学び、フランスでは文化マネジメントを学びました。
今はパリで観光アテンドの仕事をしながら、視覚障害の方と美術館を回るボランティアもしています。
レッスンでは、アートを使った日本語会話、フリートーク、生徒さんの興味に合わせた対話を行います。

I focus on speaking practice, not grammar teaching. My lessons are for students who want to use Japanese in a natural way. I change the speed and words depending on your level and goals.
I am learning French, so I know the feeling of “I want to say something, but I don’t have the words”. In my lessons, you can speak without fear of mistakes.
私は文法を一から教えるのではなく、会話を中心に日本語を使う練習をしています。生徒さんのレベルや目的に合わせて、話すスピードや語彙を変えます。
アートや文化をきっかけに会話を広げることが多いです。私自身もフランス語を学んでいて、「言いたいのに言えない」という気持ちを知っています。だから、安心して間違えられる環境を大切にしています。My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are flexible and focus on conversation. Examples:
- Free conversation (hobbies, travel, culture, art,etc)
- Topic-based discussion (your interests)
- Interview practice (for school or special cases)
- Art lesson: look at 2 artworks and talk in Japanese
Important: Beginners (A1–A2) can join only the Art lesson. Other lessons are for intermediate or advanced learners.
レッスンは自由に選べて、会話を中心に進めます。
- フリートーク（趣味・旅行・文化・アートなど）
- トピックに合わせた会話練習（生徒さんの興味から）
- 面接練習（学校など特別な場面）
- アートレッスン：2つの作品を見ながら10語を学び、日本語で話す練習

学芸員 - 文化庁 - 2020美術館・博物館学芸員資格を有する講師が、アートを題材にした日本語レッスンに以下の専門性を付加します。
ガイド／ツアー演習
美術館ガイドのロールプレイを通じて、接客日本語や案内用語（例：「ご覧いただきたいのは～」「こちらは～」）を習得。質疑応答練習で、礼儀正しく柔軟な対応力を養成します。
文化背景の深堀り
日本各地の美術館・博物館の特色や歴史を題材にディスカッションを実施。背景知識を深めながら、読解・会話力を強化し、学びのモチベーションを高めます。

I always look forward to Yurie's lessons -- in her VTS lessons, each of us picks an artwork which we then discuss, which means that there's a lot of variety and opportunity for vocabulary building. The lessons are always fun and engaging, and time flies by 🌠 thank you Yurie!

I've truly enjoyed the "VTS" lessons with Yurie! During the lessons, we discuss various artworks we've selected - topics range from what's depicted in the artwork to what the atmosphere is like and so on. This is actually surprisingly helpful for building vocabulary, and a great alternative to the regular conversation classes. Yurie is insightful, fun and keeps the lessons interesting. Her lessons have a calm and friendly vibe. Looking forward to the next lesson 🌸
